Current volunteer opportunities include:
Children’s Story Hour Leader
Select and read stories and sing songs to children 5 years old and younger on Wednesdays or on Saturday and Sundays at Smith.
Playground/Playhouse Monitor
Responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors to Smith. This position is the public face of the organization and needs to have exceptional people skills.
Maintenance Assistant
Ensure that Playground and Playhouse are clean and safe at all times. The Maintenance Assistant reports to the Buildings & Grounds Supervisor.
Gardener
Ensure that external upkeep of the Playground and Playhouse are its absolute best. If you have a “green thumb” and love dealing with flowers, planting, etc. than this is the volunteer opportunity for you!
Over the past year 380 volunteers have contributed 4,950 hours of service at SMITH either as individuals or through corporations or organizations. SMITH needs your help! Your contribution of your time and talent will be invaluable to SMITH’s work and to serving all the kids who come to SMITH.
