Smith Birthday Parties & Field Trips
KIDS’ BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Having a birthday party at Smith is an experience your child will never forget. April through September, birthday parties at Smith take place on Saturdays and Sundays from either 10:00AM to 12:00PM, 1:00 to 3:00PM, or 4:00 to 6:00PM in either the Party Room or Side Porches. In October, the Party Room and Side Porches are available 10:00AM to 12:00PM or 1:00 to 3:00PM. December through March, the Party Room is available 10:00AM to 12:00PM or 1:00 to 3:00PM.
What do you get?
- A Smith t-shirt for the birthday child
- A crown for the birthday child
- Printable directions to Smith; and
- A Smith staff member who will
- Meet you when you arrive;
- Assist with set-up
- Periodically check in with you throughout your party;
- Answer any questions you or your guests might have about Smith; and
- Dispose of trash bags at the conclusion of your party.
Since birthday party slots fill up quickly, we suggest you call at least two months in advance to secure your preferred date. If you’re not familiar with the spaces offered, please make sure to view them before you reserve. To make reservations please call 215-765-4325.
Smith has three spaces available for birthday parties.
- The Party Room is available year round and can accommodate up to 15 children. The Party Room is ideal for children 5 and younger. The cost to hold a party in the Party Room is $225.
- Two Side Porches are available April-October and can accommodate up to 20 children each. The Side Porches are ideal for children 10 and younger. The cost for holding a party on a Side Porch is $275.
- A $150 deposit that will be applied to the total is due at the time of booking to reserve your date. Parties are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled per availability.

FIELD TRIPS
Smith is a wonderful site for your next field trip. Children ages 10 and younger may play in the Playground, and children ages 5 and younger may play in the Playhouse.
Reservations are REQUIRED for groups of 8 or more children. The cost for a field trip is $25 for up to 25 children, $50 for 26-50 children, and $100 for 51-100 children. Groups include daycare centers, pre-schools, head start classes, elementary schools and informal parents groups. SMITH requires one Group Leader (age 18 or over) for every group, and additional chaperones for every 5 children. Please remember that we have age restrictions for children visiting Smith. To protect the safety of all visitors, these age restrictions are strictly enforced by Smith staff.
You must make a reservation at least two weeks in advance of your trip date. Keep in mind that field trip slots fill up quickly, and it is recommended to make reservations two to three months in advance to secure your preferred date. To make reservations please call 215-765-4325.
Groups may visit the Playground (April-October) and Playhouse (year-round) Wednesday through Friday from either 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Group visits may not last any longer than two hours or take place outside of the above times.
